Some investors on your CRM may not have contact information available when you want to reach out. LinkedIn is a great way to find a mutual connection and request a warm introduction from them. This way you can be introduced to investors and begin fundraising in no time.

How to Add Mutual Connections on LinkedIn to CRM

Navigate to the Investor CRM and click on the LinkedIn button next to the investor's profile picture. Here is where you can identify a mutual connection you would like to reach out to.

Once the mutual connection is found, add their name and email to the investor's profile. You can do so by clicking on the investor's profile and then clicking the blue "Edit" button. Add their information under "Introduction Path Name" and "Introduction Path Email." Click "Submit" when finished.

How to Email the Introduction Path a Warm-Intro Request

View your warm introduction script by clicking on "Email Templates & Prompts" and then navigating to the "Warm-Intro" stage.

You can personalize this template which can be used repeatedly. To learn how Double Opt-In Warm Introductions work, click here. Click "Save Template" when finished.

To send the warm-intro script to the introduction path's email, scroll over to the "Introduction Path" column and click on the orange envelope button next to their name.

Click "Select Template" to choose your warm-intro template and send it when ready. Confirm your deal is assigned to the investor before sending the email. For a step-by-step guide, click here.
