Staff App- Distance Setting for Geo Fencing

By default, the system will calculate distance based on the default unit used by the country you are operating in .

  • Example 1- the account is set to the USA, distance will calculate in miles

  • Example 2- The account is set to UK, distance will calculate in kilometers.

For companies who may operate within two countries who may wish to change the distance unit used to calculate distance, a new setting has been created inside the Staff app.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

  • This is not an individual display preference. This is a live setting that will affect how distance is calculated inside the entire account, web and mobile, for all Team members and Admin/Staff users.

  • Making a change to this setting will update past bookings and future into the new unit set.

  • This toggle setting is only available to Admin users. Staff users cannot see it, or change it

  • You can always set the setting back to the original default unit of measurement if you prefer.

How to View or Update Distance Unit

Once logged into the app:

  1. Click the three lines at the top of your screen or click the person icon on the right of your screen to get to My account and My Preferences

  2. Click My preferences and scroll down

  3. View or change the setting and save changes.

Changes made are live. Once you refresh the app screen, the new distance unit will display and distance inside the account will calculate under that same unit.
