Overview
You have the option of setting up your teams’ wages to be percentage-based (i.e. the team makes 50% of the booking’s pre-tax Price). Follow these instructions to set your account to use percentage-based wages:
Step 1: Create a Percentage-based Wage Method
The Wage Method for your account lets you specify which wage method to use for all of your teams at any given time. To use percentage-based wages, you have to create an Percentage wage method. After you do so, the system will know to calculate your teams’ wages as a percentage of the booking’s pre-tax Price:
Go to Settings > Wages Method
Click Add New
3. Choose an Effective Date (i.e. the date you want the percentage-based wages to take effect)
4. Choose Percentage as the Method
5. For percentage-based wages, you have the option to exclude discounts from the wages calculation. Doing so will ensure that the team’s wage is based on the full- price of the booking and will not be based on the after-discount amount. If you prefer this, choose Yes for Calculate based on Service price only.
6. Click Save
Step 2: Add a Default Percentage-based Wage for your Team (optional)
Each time you assign a team to a booking, you have to set their percentage share.
If you set up a default percentage, you will save time from having to enter this info each time you assign the team.
Go to Settings > People > Teams
Choose the Team you want to add a default percentage wage for
Click on the wage link under the Compensation section
4. Click Add New
5. Choose an Effective Date (i.e. the date you want the percentage wages to take effect
6. Choose Percentage as the Wages Method
7. Enter the percentage to Pay the team per booking
8. Click Save
Now when you assign a Team to a booking, you’ll see the default percentage-based wage automatically set for you. You can always change this value if you need to just for that booking:
Please note:
Changes to the default wage will only display once the effective date has kicked in.
Once saved, wage changes will apply to any new and unassigned bookings.
