User Roles and Permissions

Here’s an overview of the different Roles you can assign inside Automaid to give users different access to data in the system.

You'll add new office staff users by going to Settings > People > Office Staff

Admin

The Administrator role is the highest Role in the system, and can do everything listed out in the below user roles.

Staff (in office)

Staff can do the following:

  • Manage Bookings

  • Manage Customers

  • View Reports (excluding Dashboard and revenue related reports)

  • Manage Services

  • Manage Extras

  • Manage Frequencies

  • Manage Booking Spots availability

  • Manage Discount Codes

  • Manage Teams

  • Manage Email and SMS (text message) Templates

  • Gift Cards

Staff users cannot access, view, or change:

  • Dashboard reporting

  • Charges Page and charge/place holds on bookings

  • Settings in Settings > General

  • Quickbooks integration

  • Pay Teams Page

  • Time tracking logs

  • Merchant Track (Automaid Pay customers)

  • Cannot delete customer profiles, only archive

  • Cannot delete customer credit card details from profile, they can only set default cards not remove cards

  • Cannot delete Team profiles, only archive

  • Cannot edit gift card, issue a free gift card, or transact a gift card from inside their account

  • Cannot edit or archive any office staff profiles

  • Cannot make changes to bookings once marked as complete.

Staff: Technical Administrator

Technical Administrator can do the following:

  • Everything Staff role can do

  • Manage Staff

Team Member (cleaners/technicians working out in the field)

To add a new Team Member, go to Settings > People > Team Member > Click Add New on top right of screen


Team Members can do the following:

  • Manage Availability

  • View their Bookings

  • Respond to invites (only if Invite Team Member feature is on plan)

  • View Customer Feedback (if permission is enabled)

  • Sync bookings to Google Calendar
