Role-based permissions control creation and updates for Prospect, Cash, and Account customers. Guided setup ensures accurate data, hides restricted actions, and standardises supplier creation via account type.

Step by Step

Step 1: Configure Role Permissions

  1. Go to System Setup

  2. Navigate to Roles

  3. Select the role you want to configure and click edit

  4. Go to actions

  5. Configure permissions for each customer type:

    • Prospect

    • Cash

    • Account

  6. Enable or disable:

    • Create customers

    • Edit customer details

    • Convert customer types (if applicable)

Step 2: Understand Customer Types

When creating or editing customers, permissions will control access to:

  • Prospect

    • Early-stage enquiries

    • Minimal required details

    • Ideal for sales teams

  • Cash Customer

    • Pay-as-you-go customers

    • No credit account needed

  • Account Customer

    • Full account setup

    • Typically involves finance approval and credit terms

⚠️ Users will only see the types they are permitted to create or edit.
