This playbook outlines the key steps for configuring your system account during
implementation. While it covers core setup tasks, it is not a comprehensive overview of all the features. Instead, it serves as a framework to guide your initial
implementation calls, which can be tailored to each customer’s needs as you become
more familiar with the platform.
1. Update Company Profile
Navigation: Settings → Company Profile
• Update the Company Name
• Update the Company Address
Important: The company address automatically populates Section 2 of the I‐9 form in
WorkBright. Ensure this information is accurate before employees begin completing
forms.
2. Review Administrator Access and Permission Structure
Determine whether the customer needs restricted administrator access.
Discuss whether they want to organize employees using Groups based on:
• Location
• Department
• Manager
• Other internal organizational structures
Groups can be used to create custom permission policies that limit which employees
certain administrators can view or manage.
3. Add Administrator Users
Navigation: Settings → Admin Users
• Add administrators from the customer’s team who need access to the account.
• If you have an internal process in place for adding members of your support or technical
teams to the account, you may do so at this time as well
4. Configure E‐Verify Credentials
Customers can either complete this step independently or be guided through the process
during an implementation call.
Before entering credentials, confirm that the customer's E‐Verify account is configured
with Web Services enabled.
Step 1: Review this guide to determine if their E-Verify account is set up for Web Services
Step 2: Follow the appropriate integration instructions:
5. Remote I-9 Walk Through (If Applicable)
If the customer did not receive a walk-through of the I-9 feature before reaching
implementation, schedule time to walk them through the process. You’ll want to show
them the Remote I-9 functionality and, if applicable, the in-person option for completing
Section 2.
You can encourage them to add themselves in as a staff member to try the workflow first
hand. Personal e-mails can be used to do this, and they can use fake documents/random
photos to complete the test I-9’s.
Articles for I-9 functionality can be found here and shared with the customer.
6. Audit and Migration (If Applicable)
If the customer plans to import existing employees or previously completed I‐9s, share the Audit & Migration intake form.
7. Non-Embedded Partners Only: Demonstrate Options to Add Staff
Show the customer the Quick Staff Actions button and review the available options for adding employees.
Two primary methods are available:
Explain when each method is most appropriate so administrators can efficiently onboard employees.
Implementation Goal
By the end of implementation, the customer should have:
• Company settings configured
• Administrator access established
• E‐Verify credentials integrated
• Permission groups configured if needed
• A clear process for adding employees
• A clear understanding of the Remote and in-person I-9
