Who will be automatically notified when an error/incident/near miss event is saved?

A:

  • Each home will customize their automatic notifications as they need in the FORM SETTINGS module.

  • E.g. a) All pharmacy incidents will be sent to the pharmacy manager and/or consultant pharmacist. b) All home incidents will be sent to the DOC &/or ADOC etc.

  • The dedicated system administrator can also set up rules to be applicable for the entire organization or for one home. You can choose any staff role and any data field (eg. harm level, event type, stage, contributing factor) to drive a notification.

  • For non-automated notifications: Others notified or informed of an event can be documented in the Summary Page “Notified/Informed” widget. To set up the system to make sure documentation of these notifications is completed, the home can set up a mandatory step as below. Also who needs to be notified can be selected to be optional or mandatory:
