Inventory for ProfitPath is a revolutionary tool that allows sellers to meticulously track all their purchased items with ease. Whether you're in the midst of sourcing products or need to add items manually, our Inventory streamlines the process with a user-friendly interface. But it doesn't stop there; this feature is packed with capabilities that extend far beyond mere tracking.

In this guide, we're looking closer into the entire Feature and give you a review what it can do. If you want to get a shorter view, what the feature can do & where its helpful check out our latest blog!

You can find the new inventory feature via the "Products" tab, it is clearly still marked with (BETA) as bugs may still occur. But it has been extensively tested, so these should not occur for the time being. If you have a bug, please report it directly to our team and we will take care of it shortly.

Inventory Explained: Guide

On the inventory page you can see everything important, you have the possibility to check all KPIs again and you can see what you bought last and check again if everything fits.

In the Inventory you can choose whether you add items via Quick Add (in stores) you can simply add items to the Inventory directly after purchase or you can also make independent items from ProfitPath by clicking on "Track Purchase" at the top left and then fill them in completely.

If you add them via Quick Add, the items are already prefilled. If you do this via Track Purchase, you have to fill them all in again yourself.

You are now in the view of a track purchase, normally most things are already prefilled. But here you are tracking something that does not come from ProfitPath.

Store: Enter the name you want here Store Info/Name.

Item Name: What is the name of the item

EAN: EAN/GTIN code for the product

ASIN: Product code from Amazon for the product

SKU List: If you have already created an item, go to your inventory on Amazon, there is an SKU column - copy and paste it. The SKU is very important for the later export for Sellerboard.

Quantity: How many units did you buy of the product?

Single Price: How much does a unit cost?

Purchase Type: Gross (incl. VAT) or NET (excl. VAT)

VAT %: VAT % displayed on the invoice.

Invoice: Here you can track whether you have already received an invoice or not.

Shipping Number: You can enter it here

Purchased at: When did you buy the goods

Earliest Selling Date: Sellerboard - Est. date of the first sale on Amazon.

Notes: Here you can add information about the purchase such as "Goods will not arrive for 2 weeks" later you can hover over it in the inventory.

You will find the most important symbols described when you call up the inventory:

Pen: You can use the pen to revise your position and make any corrections.

Paper: When adding an item, you can add a note, which you can view here if you hover over it.

Plus: Here you will be redirected to Amazon, you can easily add the item to your Amazon inventory with the plus.

Bucket: Deletes the item from the inventory

Track purchases in real-time

From now on you can track your purchases in the various stores directly and all data will be pre-filled, you will then select the remaining data yourself, e.g. the quantity of goods and then everything will be automatically imported into the inventory. The same applies to our Private Search.

Which formats do we currently support for export?

Once you have tracked all your purchases, you also have the option to export everything. On the one hand you have the Sellerboard format (here you have to make sure that you have set an Earliest Selling Date in the product setting, otherwise an existing product may be overwritten), but you can also choose between CSV, XLS and XLSX. Select the name of the file and when it should start and you are ready to start preparing the export.

A further note on the export: For Sellerboard to process your inventory on import, it is mandatory that all items have a valid SKU. All items will be exported with the Label #FBA by default. You can change this manually after downloading the file or in the Sellerboard App.

Dashboard View (Outdated)

On our dashboard we have built in a view where you can easily see the last 5 purchases, in another field you can also enter a Monthly Spending Limit but we have written an extra post about this.
