Each First Aid Trainer Assessor should have an annual Internal Quality Assurance check completed of course delivery and assessment of a First Aid qualification.

The check should be:

  • Conducted face-to-face

  • By an appropriately qualified person

  • Completed using RLSS UK paperwork

  • Sent into RLSS UK via the Trainer Assessors RLSS UK Account.

When logged in, the Trainer Assessor should hover over My Details> Additional Information and select First Aid TA annual IQA form submission.

Please note you will lose access to your First Aid resources if you have not had a suitable check completed and sent to us each year. Access can be regained by contacting the Compliance team.

Integrated Courses

The IQA can be completed on an integrated course, for example, NPLQ and EFAW.

The IV must be clear on what they are observing (not including pool lifeguard topics) for this to be a sufficient check.
