How Should I Deny a Tenant Applicant?
How Should I Deny a Tenant Applicant?
Updated over 9 months ago

If you're denying your tenant because of the screening report, you must let them know by law.

You use an Adverse Action Letter to notify the tenant they have been denied. If you need a copy of an Adverse Action Letter, please contact our screening department, and we will be happy to provide you with one! You can contact us via phone (888-877-8501), email (screening@rentprep.com), or our live chat feature.

Make sure you're using an adverse action letter that is connected with the correct service. For instance, you should not use a RentPrep (Fidelis Screening) form when using a different screening service. Be sure that the contact information on the letter lines up with the company you had run the report.
