How to configure your personal settings and notifications

Written by Efrat Barak Zadok

Change Profile Photo

To change your profile photo, click on the three dots on the top right of the screen and select My Settings.

By clicking on the icon at the bottom of your profile photo, you can either upload or remove your profile photo.

Reset Password

To change your password, click the Change button on the right of the password box in the My Settings page.

You can reset your password by entering your current password and then creating a new one.

Manage Notifications

Employees have control over the type of notifications that they receive from Shapes. Choose whether or not you want to be notified when you're assigned a task in an email, on Slack, or both.

Date Format

You can customize the date format used across your Shapes account to match your regional preferences.

Available date formats

  • American: MM/DD/YYYY

  • European: DD/MM/YYYY

Configuration hierarchy

Shapes applies date formatting based on the following priority, from highest to lowest:

  1. User Setting: You can manually override the date format in My Settings. This selection always takes priority.

  2. Account Default: Account admins can establish a default format for the entire organization in Account Settings.

  3. System Default: If no account-level default is configured, Shapes will automatically detect and apply your machine's local date settings.

Language

Set your personal language preference for the Shapes interface. This overrides the account-level default set by your Super Admin.

Revoke Sessions

Instantly log out of all active sessions across all devices. This is useful if you've lost access to a device or suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Personal API Tokens

Generate and manage personal API tokens for integrating with Shapes programmatically.

This option is only visible if personal API tokens have been enabled for your account. If you don't see it in your settings, contact your Super Admin.
