How Do I Create a Single Seeded Elimination Bracket in League?
Updated over a week ago

To create brackets in League, you must have "Full Access" or "Limited Access - Website" permissions.

This feature is included in League Sites but is not tied to the Tournament Tool. Before you begin creating your brackets, you will need to know the following:

  • How many teams will be included in the bracket.

  • There must be a Team Page created below the League Level for all teams included.

  • Ranking (Seeded) List.

  1. Sign in and turn on Edit Mode.

  2. Go to your "League Page."

  3. Scroll down and click on the Admin dropdown arrow button.

  4. Choose Seasons.

  5. Click New Subseaon.

  6. Label the subseason. Ex: "Tournament", "Playoffs", or "Postseason".

  7. Under the Standings sections, choose the Seeded Single Elimination Bracket option.

  8. Choose your "Data Source," then click Create Subseason.

    • Data Source determines whether your new season will have the same information as previous seasons or not.

      • Start From Scratch: You must manually add divisions and teams to the new season.

      • Copy Sub-Season (Recommended): This allows you to copy divisions and teams from the past season with the option to copy staff page permissions, tool settings, rosters, and page content.

    • NOTE: If your League has Divisions, you need to re-create the Division pages next.

  9. On the right side of the page, activate the season as the current sub-season by checking the button labeled Current Subseason.

  10. On the Division or League page (depending on whether you have Divisions in your bracket), click on the Bracket tab and choose Create Bracket.

  11. On the Division or League page (depending on whether you have Divisions in your bracket), click on the "Bracket" tab and choose Create Bracket.

  12. Enter the number of teams to participate in the tournament and click Continue.

  13. Click, drag, and drop or click Add on the teams you want to add to your "Seeded Teams" column.

  14. Click Continue.

    • Games will remain unscheduled. You need to edit the game to schedule it.

    • If you want to change the "Round" labels (Round 1, Round 2, etc.), simply click Edit Labels in the upper-right corner.
