In 30 days following this publication, UGLYCASH will discontinue the banking products relationship with Bangor Savings Bank for US customers. This change does not affect the services for customers in Latin America.

UGLYCASH in the US will be transitioning into a new type of product. Soon US customers will be able to get the same services that our platform is already providing in Latin America.

During this transition, you need to withdraw your funds by February 12th, 2025. After this date, the service will be temporarily unavailable while we build and gradually launch the new version of the app in the United States. Although your deposit account will be closed, your user profile will be active in the event you want to use the new product in the future once available.

What you need to do prior to February 12th, 2025:

Withdraw your funds out of your UGLYCASH account or spend them with your Mastercard Debit card

Stop any automatic or recurring payments and deposits to ensure smooth management of your financial activities

Important dates to note before the closure of the Checking Account issued by Bangor Savings Bank:

Starting today:

Replacement cards in the US will not be issued, but if you suspect fraud, you can request to close your account immediately and have the remaining balance refunded. We’re here to help!

All funds in your Earn balance will be transferred to your Checking account

Any account created more than two weeks ago that has never been funded will be closed.

On January 28th, 2025 — 15 days before closure:

Originating funding methods will be disabled — do not make any new deposits to your account and make sure any direct debit/subscriptions are cancelled

Your Mastercard Debit card will be deactivated

On February 9th, 2025 — 3 days before closure:

We will send you a final reminder.

On February 12th, 2025 — the day of closure:

Your Checking Account issued by Bangor Savings Bank will automatically be closed.

Any remaining funds in your account will be sent via check to the address associated with your account — for any address changes please reach out to customer support at support@ugly.cash, +1 844 735 0769, or through the app.

Transactions that arrive in your account on or after February 12th, 2025, will not post and will be denied or returned. This includes deposits, electronic credits or debits, transfers, ATM withdrawal requests, and PIN or POS debit card transactions. No further withdrawal requests will be honored.
