Can I change the type of content under the "My Interests" section in the Resource Library?

Absolutely! Navigate to the Resource Library by clicking "Resource Library" in the top right of the home page. Once you are in the Resource Library click the top left drop down that says "My Interests" and click "Update My Interests". From this page you can select the topics that are most important to you, and then click "Update".
