How to use my Subcontractor account on Skillko

This guide walks you through activating your Skillco account, completing your initial setup, and navigating key features of the platform.

Step 1: Activate Your Skillko Account

  1. Open your Skillko verification email and click Activate Your Account.

  2. You will be redirected to the Skillko login page.

  3. Create a password in line with the password policy and click Reset Password.

  4. Re-enter your password and click Login.

You will now be logged into your Compliance Dashboard.


Step 2: Complete Account Setup (Wizard)

  1. Click the progress bar to continue account setup.

  2. Select Create Profiles.

Create a Profile

  1. Enter the required profile details.

  2. Click Save Changes.

  3. Select Back to Wizard to continue.


Step 3: Upload Certificates

  1. Select a certificate and choose the profile it applies to.

  2. Adjust the issue date if required using the date widget.

  3. Click Save Changes.

Uploading Certificate Files

  • Upload certificates using:

    • Drag and drop PDF, or

    • Double-sided card upload

  • Click Upload to confirm.

You can click the certificate to preview and confirm it is correct.


Step 4: Activate a Profile

  1. Return to the wizard.

  2. Select the profile you created.

  3. Click Invite User to Activate.

You can also create additional profiles from this screen if required.


Step 5: Download the Skillko Mobile App

  • Complete account setup using a web browser (desktop, tablet, or mobile browser).

  • Once setup is complete, download the Skillko mobile app (iOS or Android).

  • The app stores certificates and induction course information for easy access.


Step 6: Approve a Share Staff Request

  1. Open the taskbar and select Supply Chain Management.

  2. Click Client Staff.

  3. Select the pending request and click the eye icon.

  4. Review and click Approve.

Once approved, shared staff visibility will appear on your dashboard.


Step 7: Monitor Compliance & Expiring Certificates

  • Expiring Certificates: View certificates due to expire within 3 months.

  • Click the eye icon to view and update certificates.

  1. Upload the updated certificate.

  2. Complete any required fields.

  3. Click Save Changes.

The dashboard will update automatically.


Step 8: Supply Chain Insights (PQQs)

  • View expiring:

    • PQQ documents

    • Policies within PQQs

  • Update documents directly when prompted.


Step 9: Navigate the Skillko Taskbar

Use the taskbar to access:

  • Reporting – Compliance dashboard

  • Training Compliance – Profiles and certificates

  • Supply Chain Management – Shared staff and clients

  • Settings – Account and profile settings
