Mandatory Child Seat for V-Class

At Wheely, trust is one of our core values, and the safety and well-being of our passengers, their families, and our Chauffeurs is a top priority.

To better support passengers travelling with children, we introduced the Kids Tariff, which allows passengers to request a vehicle equipped with an appropriate child seat.

From 14 September 2026, every active Wheely Chauffeur driving an XL vehicle must also carry at least one child seat and one Group 2/3 booster seat.

You are welcome to choose your own child seat and booster seat. However, both must meet the following requirements:You are free to choose your own seat and a booster seat, but do keep in mind the following requirements:

Child seat

  • Child seats must have a date stamp and not exceed 10 years;

  • We only accept ECE R 44.04, Regulation 129 and/or UN ECE (United Nations Economic Commissioner Europe) child seats - this may be described as either R44 or R129;

  • We only accept ‘Semi Universal’ child seats, which means it’s secured via ISOFix (International Standards Organisation Fix) points.

  • To have access to Kids tariff journeys it will need to serve groups 0+/1/2/3 (age range: infants to 12 years/weight range: 0+ to 36kg).

Booster seat

  • Not exceed 10 years

  • Groups 2/3 (age range:3 to 12 years/weight range: 12 to 36kg).

  • It’s secured via ISOFix (International Standards Organisation Fix) points.

  • We only accept ECE R 44.04, Regulation 129 and/or UN ECE (United Nations Economic Commissioner Europe) booster seats - this may be described as either R44 or R129;
