Active Hours Limit

Tekijä: Natalia Sitnikova

Important: If you're online less than 18 hours a day, nothing changes for you and you don’t need to dive in this feature at all.

How it works

  • Wheely chauffeurs can be online for up to 18 hours within any 24-hour period. This includes all the time you spend online, not just the time on a journey — so waiting for a request counts too.

  • The 24 hours are always the last 24 hours, not a calendar day. Nothing resets at midnight. The app simply looks back at the past 24 hours and adds up how long you were online.

  • Once you hit 18 hours, you're taken offline and an 6-hour break starts. You can go back online as soon as it's over.

  • In case you have a prebook booked during the break, it will be released.

You'll always know where you stand

  • Open Profile → Active Hours Limit at any time to see your Active time available.

  • One hour before you reach the limit, we'll send you a push: Break Required in 1 Hour. That's your cue to plan your last journey and finish up.

  • When the limit is reached, you'll get a second push and the app will show On break until 05:00 (or whatever your time is), so you know exactly when you can start again. On the Map you'll see the ON BREAK state until then.

You will never be cut off mid-journey

If you're on a journey with a Passenger when you reach the limit, nothing is interrupted. You finish the journey exactly as normal, and the break starts only after it's completed.

Why we're doing this

Long hours behind the wheel are a safety risk — for you and for your Passengers. The break makes sure you come back rested.

Questions

Does time count when I'm online but not on a journey?

Yes. Any time the app shows you as online counts towards the 16 hours.

Does the counter reset at midnight?

No. It always looks at the last 24 hours.

Can I work 18 hours in two shifts?

Yes. It's the total that matters. If you're online 8 hours in the morning and 7 hours in the evening, that is 15 hours total and under the limit.

Will I be taken offline in the middle of a journey?

No. The journey always finishes first.

Do I need to do anything when the break ends?

No. Just go online as usual.

What if I have an emergency and need to go online during a break?

Contact Customer Service and explain the situation.

Where can I check how much time I have left?

Profile → Active Hours Limit. The number at the top is your available active time.
