The trip calculation:
The trip calculation takes into account three factors:
1) Base fare: This is a fixed cost at which each fare starts.
2) Time: Cost for each minute of the trip.
3) Kilometre: Cost for each KM of the journey.
The above components are added together to calculate the total fare: Base fare + Time + Kilometres.
Each tariff has a different price for each component ie
Class | Business | Business SUV | XL | First | Luxe |
Base Fare | AED 20 | AED 30 | AED 30 | AED 60 | AED 80 |
Time | AED 2 | AED 2 | AED 3.5 | AED 5 | AED 7 |
Kilometre | AED 4 | AED 4 | AED 3.5 | AED 5 | AED 7 |
Minimum Fare: means that you are guaranteed a specific fare if you have short trips. If the total of all 3 components is lower than the minimum fare, you will be paid the minimum fare.
Fixed Transfer
Wheely offers fixed transfer fares for journeys to and from Dubai airports, including:
Dubai International Airport (DXB)
Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum Airport (DWC)
The fixed transfer price may vary depending on the pickup or drop-off location within the city.
Normally, Wheely fares are calculated based on the distance and time of the journey. However, airport transfers to or from DXB and DWC are offered at a fixed price tariff.
If during the transfer you press the “Extra Stop” button, the journey will be recalculated using the standard tariff instead of the fixed transfer tariff.
When can a fixed transfer cange to a standard fare
In some situations, the fixed transfer fare may change to the standard fare calculation. This is only acceptable under the following circumstances:
1. Passenger requests an extra stop with a significant route deviation
During the transfer, the passenger may request an additional stop that requires a major deviation from the original route.
2. Waiting time exceeds 20 minutes
If you stop during the transfer for more than 20 minutes, you may press “Extra Stop”, even if the route does not significantly change.
3. Passenger changes the journey type
If after a long ride around the city the passenger asks to continue the journey to the airport, the trip should be switched to the standard tariff.
Note:
Wheely may review and adjust the fare if the “Extra Stop” button is used incorrectly or unnecessarily.
