If you completed a CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) or MLN (Medicare Learning Network) training, you can add the CEUs to your AAPC CEU Tracker even though CMS does not provide an index number.
Step 1: Open Your CEU Tracker
Sign in to your AAPC account.
Select your name in the upper-right corner.
Select Certifications and CEUs.
Select Add CEUs.
Step 2: Select "No" for the Index Number
When asked:
Do you have an index/catalog number?
Select:
No
CMS/MLN trainings do not provide an index number.
Step 3: Complete the Required Fields
Fill out all required fields and upload your CMS/MLN certificate of completion.
Step 4: Determine the CEU Value
CMS/MLN CEUs are based on the length of the training completed.
Training Length | CEU Value |
30 minutes or less | 0.5 CEU |
31–60 minutes | 1.0 CEU |
61–90 minutes | 1.5 CEU |
91–120 minutes | 2.0 CEU |
