Connect Visma Administration to Abicart

Connect your Abicart webshop with Visma Administration to smoothly automate order management, customer registry, and inventory status.

Transfer orders, customers, and product information between Abicart and Visma Administration and reduce double entry.

Before you begin

This guide applies to the Windows program for Visma Administration 1000 or 2000, formerly called Visma/SPCS. It does not apply to Spiris/Visma eEkonomi; for that service, use the guide for Visma eEkonomi.

The connection requires Abicart Pro with the Visma/SPCS connection enabled, Visma Administration with the correct integration license, and the Abicart Windows program. The license and compatibility for your version of Visma must be confirmed before installation or upgrade. Supplier information is available from Visma Spcs.

1. Decide what to transfer

  • Orders and their customers: Abicart to Visma. Select new orders or a limited period from a specific date.

  • Customer registry: Visma to Abicart. The entire Abicart customer registry is not exported separately to Visma; instead, the customer is included with the transferred order.

  • Product registry: all or selected parts can be transferred in both directions. Choose a master source for the data that otherwise risks being overwritten.

  • Inventory balance: Visma to Abicart, manually or through the program's recurring transfer.

Make backups and document the direction and selection before the first major transfer. Do not start product transfer in both directions without first deciding which registry should be the master.

2. Activate the connection and install the program

  1. Check the add-on Visma SPCS under My subscription.

  2. Open Settings → External connections → Visma integration.

  3. Download the installation program and the corresponding installation instructions from the information box. Follow the instructions for the version you are installing.

  4. Install on the Windows computer that will run the transfers and has access to the correct Visma installation and company data.

3. Keep the store's and Visma's information separate

The information entered for the integration in Abicart must also be entered in the Windows program's connection to the store. It is not automatically the same as the username and password in Visma.

If permission control is active in Visma, the program also needs to log in with an authorized Visma user for the correct company. Check the permissions there, not by changing the store's password.

4. Check paths and make a limited first transfer

Select the actual path to Visma Administration and the correct company data. When changing computers or servers, paths, network access, and permissions must be checked on the new computer. Do not copy an old example address like C:\Documents and Settings\... without checking where your installation is located.

Start with a limited transfer. Check the item number, VAT, price, quantity, customer, and total sum in the receiving system before expanding the selection or activating recurring inventory transfers. In case of an interruption, first check what was actually received; resending could otherwise result in duplicate orders or unwanted registry changes.

Product information that can be transferred

Item number is mandatory. The connection also includes name, description, EAN, item/service, VAT, price, purchase price, and primary product group. Visma has its own limitations, including for names and group levels; specifically check product names that exceed 60 characters and how your version of Visma receives them.

Troubleshoot based on the error message

Error code 137 – path to Administration

Check the actual installation/system path and that it is accessible from the computer running the integration. Also, check the correct company path. A path that worked on the old server may not work on the new one.

Error code 583 – integration license

Check with Visma that the license for the current installation includes integration access. The fact that Visma Administration can be started is not in itself proof that the integration license is correct.

Error code 676 or login error after update

Check if permission control has been activated in Visma. Log in to the correct company with the Visma user that the integration will use and check its permissions. In older versions, users are managed under File → Users; the menu may differ between versions.

The image shows an older login/permission mode. Use the corresponding setting in your installed version.

Network or connection errors

Check internet access, DNS, HTTPS on port 443, certificates, firewall, and any proxy from the computer that is actually running the integration program. The fact that the Abicart administration works in the browser is an initial test, but it does not prove that the integration program has the same access.

Ask the IT manager to check the current connection's destination and error message. Do not unblock an old fixed IP address from a previous guide, and do not turn off the firewall or certificate check as a solution. When creating a support case: specify the program version, Visma version, time, transfer direction, and error code without sending any passwords.

Quick start

  1. Confirm Pro, the Visma/SPCS add-on, and the correct Visma integration license.

  2. Install the Windows program according to the store's installation instructions.

  3. Check the store's connection, the Visma user, and both paths.

  4. Make a small transfer and verify the result before an automatic or larger run.

Subscription: This integration requires Abicart Pro and an activated Visma/SPCS integration. Visma software and the necessary integration license are provided separately by Visma.
