How to Use the Abode Forum to Connect, Share, and Stay in the Loop

Discover how to use the Abode Forum to connect, share, and stay informed.

Engaging in the Forum is more than just posting - it's about building community and feeling connected before your first day and throughout your program. Here’s why participating early and often can make a big difference in your experience:

💬 Why Forum Engagement Matters

👋 Build Connections Early: Break the ice with your cohort, start friendships, and discover shared interests before Day 1 and beyond.

🔔 Stay Informed: Important announcements, reminders, and polls from your company are often posted here.

📣 Share & Learn: Whether it’s advice, housing leads, or restaurant recommendations - this is your space to support and be supported.

💡 Boost Confidence: The more you engage, the more comfortable you'll feel stepping into your new role!

🔍 Step-by-Step: Accessing and Using the Forum

  1. Login to Your Abode Journey Dashboard Head to my.abodehr.com/login and log in using your credentials. This takes you to your personalized journey dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the “Forum” Section From the homepage of your journey dashboard, select “Forum” to view and join discussions happening in your program or cohort. You’ll see posts created by your company admins and peers.

  3. Select Your Program or Cohort Forum Depending on your organization’s setup, you might see two types of forums available: a program-wide forum and a cohort-specific one. Be sure to post in the right space based on who you want to reach - whether you're sharing something relevant to the whole program or just your cohort! If you only see a single forum across cohorts, this may indicate that the forums are enabled only at the program level. Program administrators can configure forums to be specific to cohorts, ensuring more targeted discussions for each group when enabled.

  4. Post Your Message Click the "Post” button to introduce yourself, ask a question, or share advice!

  5. Engage With Others React to posts with emojis 👍❤️😂🎉, leave comments, and support your fellow new hires.

  6. Watch for Announcements and Polls Company admins regularly post updates, polls, and key information in the Forum. Keep an eye out so you don’t miss important updates!

So don’t be shy - introduce yourself in the Forum, start a conversation, and dive into your new community. You’re not just joining a company, you’re joining a network of peers and future mentors. Let’s make the most of it! 🎉
