Have questions about Abode Events or interested in learning more? Reach out to our team for a demo or more information.
We'll continue to update the FAQ on an ongoing basis, but here are a few questions that we've received so far about the Events product:
Q: Why did Abode build an events product?
A: Our events product is a result of listening to feedback from our customers over the last 18 months, and we believe that introducing an events module to the Abode platform is a quinticential enhancement in order to be a true solution for program managers and recruiting teams in the early career space. While we partner with several teams outside of early careers, an events product has been a frequently requested feature by our current clients. Events are such a critical piece of building a program experience or recruiting strategy, and we believe that our product will be a welcomed compliment to how teams are currently using Abode to engage their talent.
Q: It looks like Events is disabled in my workspace. How can I get access?
A: Abode Events is an add-on module to the core platform. Feel free to talk to your Account Manager or CSM about your partnership package and how you can enable the Events product in your workspace.
Q: Who can I invite to the events hosted in Abode?
A: Abode Events builds upon the existing functionality we've introduced with programs and cohorts. You're able to assign events in your calendars to any authenticated users in Abode, so users must have an Abode account and be enrolled in an active cohort in order to RSVP to events in the platform.
Q: Do users have to create an Abode account in order to host events?
A: No, you can easily add alternative hosts via email in the Event Detail but users need ot have an account in order to make edits to the event or create new events. Alternative hosts are sent a calendar invite with relevant details once they're added to the Event Detail tab.
Q: How does Abode Events integrate with my work or personal calendar?
A: We generate a link that can be directly added to Outlook, Google, and Apple in order to subscribe to individual or all calendars in your workspace.
Q: I made an update to an event, but I don't see that change reflected on my Outlook or Google calendar.
A: Updates are pushed instantly from Abode to the calendar subscription, but depending on which calendar you've added it to, it can take up to 24 hours to see the change reflected. For Outlook users in particular, it usually takes 3-4 hours for Outlook to update the calendar.
