To get started, go to the Courses section and click Create Learning Path, enter the name of the path, and proceed to editing.
Learning Path Settings
On the editing page, you’ll see all available settings for your learning path:
Learning Path Name – required field
Learning Path Description – a short overview for learners
Learning Path Color – to visually highlight the path
Adding and Configuring Content
Content within a learning path is divided into stages.
Each learning path must have at least one stage.
Within a stage, you can:
Add a stage name and description
Use the Add Content button to include courses directly in the stage
View the course type (linear or nonlinear), number of lessons, and tests
Publish or unpublish the course for this learning path
Move courses between stages or delete them
Additionally, you can edit the learning path, ungroup courses, or copy its link:
On this page, you’ll also see information about the reward learners will receive after completing all stages.
The reward is taken from the settings of the last published course.
Learner View of the Learning Path
When a learner opens a learning path, they see:
The path name and description
Progress status with a percentage to track completion
A visual representation of the path showing:
The current stage
The next course
Total content and how much has been completed
Locked blocks for future content
When a learner opens a course, they see:
Number of lessons and tests
Course description
Completion percentage
Progress status (Not Started, In Progress, or Completed)
Learning Path Statistics
You can track statistics for learning paths in the course statistics. They are recorded in the Courses Progress report, and detailed information for each stage can be viewed by going to the learner’s profile:
Access to a Learning Path
To grant learners access to a learning path, you need to assign it to a team.
To do this:
Go to the Teams section
https://app.academyocean.com/teamsSelect the required team and open its settings.
Navigate to the Courses section.
Choose the needed learning path from the list.
Save the changes.
After that, all learners who belong to this team will have access to the selected learning path.
Learning Path Completion Type
By default, a learning path is linear – learners cannot switch between stages and must complete them in the given order.
Each course within the path can be set as linear or non-linear:
Linear course – learners complete lessons and tests in the specified order; the next lesson becomes available only after finishing the previous one.
Non-linear course – learners can complete lessons in any order; all content is available from the start.
If all courses in a learning path are set to non-linear, learners will be able to switch between courses once they start the first one.
