The AI Assistant helps reviewers significantly speed up manual grading of open-ended questions. It analyzes learners' written answers in different languages and generates a structured assessment that you can use as a basis for your own decision.

📌 The AI Assistant is only available if manual approval is enabled for the quiz.

You can grade learners' work using the AI Assistant in two ways: through the Home Task Center or in a specific quiz via the Manual Approval tab:

Select the relevant quiz, then choose the learner's submission you want to grade:

In the window that opens, click the AI Assistant icon next to the comment field for the question:

To start the analysis of the answer, click the Add AI to review button:

Once activated, the AI Assistant takes into account the question itself, the task description, and the examiner's note, and then generates:

  • Examiner summary — an assessment of how well the answer matches the question, the depth and completeness of the topic coverage, and the clarity and logical structure of the text.

  • Recommended score along with a detailed justification.

  • Examiner's note highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the answer.

  • Feedback for the learner — what was done well, what can be improved, and specific recommendations.

You can apply the AI-suggested score to the answer right away. To do this, click Add points:

The feedback for the learner can be copied and added directly to the comment field for the question as well:

📌 The AI Assistant does not assign the score automatically — it only recommends it. The final decision is always yours.

The AI Assistant helps admins grade written answers accurately and quickly, freeing up time for other important tasks.
