Create Basic Type of questions

Here you will find information about creating Basic Quiz Question Types and what they look like for Learners

In the Academy, there are three basic question types: Multiple Choice, One Choice, and Written answer. To create a basic question, create a quiz and click “Add Question”. A window will appear where you can select the type of question you want:

Let’s review how to create and configure each type.


📝 Multiple Choice

To create a question where learners can select multiple correct answers, choose “Multiple Choice”.

📌 Note: A multiple choice question can also have only one correct answer.

To add the question to the quiz, click “Add Question” and select “Multiple Choice”:

After adding the question, you can enter the question and, if needed, add a description. You can format the description and add multimedia content.

Next, add the answer options. You can add as many as required by clicking “Add Answer”. After adding the options, mark the correct answers by checking the boxes next to them.

By clicking the three dots, you have additional options:

  • Add image

  • Add note for the reviewer

  • Mark all answers as correct

  • Enable comments

  • Create a Master Question

  • Add tags

  • Delete the question

You can also add images to each answer option.

After creating and configuring the question, make sure to save your changes. Here is an example of how this question type appears to learners:


📝 One Choice

To create a question where learners can select only one correct answer, select “One Choice”.

To add the question to the quiz, click “Add Question” and select “One Choice”:

After adding the question, enter the question and, if required, add a description. You can format the description and add multimedia or images to the answer options.

Add the answer options. You can add more by clicking “Add Answer”. After adding the options, mark the correct one by checking its box.

By clicking the three dots, you have additional options:

  • Add image

  • Add note for the reviewer

  • Associate variable

  • Mark all answers as correct

  • Enable comments

  • Create a Master Question

  • Add tags

  • Delete the question

After creating and configuring the question, make sure to save your changes.

📝 Written answer

To create a question where learners can write their own answer, choose “Written answer”.

To add the question to the quiz, click “Add Question” and select “Written answer”. After adding the question, enter the question and, if needed, add a description. You can format the description and add multimedia.

By clicking the three dots, you have additional options:

  • Add image

  • Add note for the reviewer

  • Associate variable

  • Create a Master Question

  • Add tags

  • Delete the question

This type of question can also be manually approved by enabling the “Manual Approval” setting in the quiz settings.

After creating and configuring the question, make sure to save your changes.
