If you need help setting up a quiz in your Academy, this article is for you!
After creating a quiz, you can configure it by going to the “Settings” section. Please note that each test is configured individually. Below are the available settings:
1. Passing Score: Allows you to set the score learners must achieve to pass the quiz. Simply select the number of points required.
2. Question Navigation Mode: Lets you choose how learners navigate the quiz:
Sequential: Learners cannot return to previous questions.
Back Enabled: Learners can go back to previous questions and change their answers.
3. Shuffle Questions: Allows you to randomize the order of questions and answers. You can also select the number of questions to display to each learner. This is useful when you have many questions but want to show only a random subset for each learner.
4. Quiz Attempts: You can limit the number of attempts a learner has to take the quiz. Additional attempts can be added individually in the learner’s profile or in the Home Task Center.
5. Custom Points: Allows you to assign different points to individual questions. Each question can have a different weight.
On the “Questions” tab, an additional “Points” option will appear, which you can set for each question individually.
6. Manual Approve: Activating this option allows you to review the quiz manually. Quizzes will be considered complete only after you have checked them, and learners will see their results only afterward.
7. Timer: You can limit the time learners have to complete the quiz. When the time expires, the points earned will be calculated automatically.
8. Scoring Method: Choose how points are counted for the quiz:
Soft count: Marks a question as correct even if not all correct answers are selected, but gives 0 points if there is an error.
Strict count: Marks a question as correct only if all correct answers are selected.
9. Pop-Up Settings: Choose how quiz results are displayed and whether to show learners their score. You can also set a welcome message before the quiz and a congratulatory message after completion.
10. Tags Settings: Classify your quiz by adding tags. This will help later when creating new quizzes to pull in existing questions into a new quiz.
