If your credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay payment is declined, start with the message shown at checkout. Card payments are processed through your card issuer and payment provider, and a decline can happen for several reasons unrelated to the order itself.
💳 Check these first
Before trying the payment again:
Check your available balance or credit limit. Make sure it covers the complete amount shown at checkout.
Verify your billing information. Your name, billing address, ZIP/postal code, and other information should match what your card issuer has on file.
Complete any security verification. Your bank may require 3D Secure (3DS), an app approval, text message code, or another authentication step.
Make sure international and online purchases are enabled. Some banks automatically decline online or international transactions until you authorize them.
Check whether you're using a prepaid card. Prepaid and gift cards are more likely to be declined and may not support the verification required for the transaction.
AccountShark accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, along with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App Pay through checkout.
🔄 Before you try again
Check your AccountShark order status first.
If the payment already appears as pending or completed, do not submit another payment. Banks sometimes approve an authorization even when checkout does not immediately return a successful result.
Repeated attempts can also cause your bank or the payment processor to decline additional charges. If everything looks correct but the card continues to fail, contact your card issuer or use another accepted payment method.
AccountShark also accepts Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Chime, bank wire, and supported cryptocurrencies. Processing fees can differ by payment method, so check the total shown for the method you choose before sending payment.
⏳ Why do I see a pending charge after a failed payment?
A declined or unsuccessful payment can sometimes leave a pending authorization on your card.
A pending authorization is not the same as a completed AccountShark payment. Your card issuer controls when unsuccessful authorizations are removed or released.
If you are unsure, check the order first. AccountShark support can confirm whether payment was received for the order, but cannot control how quickly your bank removes a pending authorization.
🔒 Never send us your full card information
AccountShark support does not need your full card number, CVV/security code, banking password, or digital-wallet credentials to investigate a failed payment.
If you need help, provide your order number and the exact error message you received at checkout.
Frequently asked questions
Was I charged if my AccountShark card payment failed?
Not necessarily. Your bank may show a temporary pending authorization even though the payment did not complete. Check your AccountShark order status before attempting another payment.
Why does my card work elsewhere but not on AccountShark?
Your issuer may be blocking the transaction because of online purchasing restrictions, international payment settings, authentication requirements, fraud controls, or the transaction amount. Your bank can usually tell you why it declined the charge.
What should I do if my card keeps getting declined?
Avoid repeatedly submitting the same card. Check with your issuer or choose another payment method accepted by AccountShark.
