How do I manually adjust inventory?
You can easily adjust the inventory for any product variant directly within your Acenda admin panel. This allows you to manually update stock levels for specific warehouse locations.
Steps to Adjust Inventory Levels
Follow these steps to update your inventory counts:
From the Acenda admin dashboard, navigate to Items.
Locate the product variant you want to update, then click View.
Select the Inventory tab.
Find the specific warehouse location you want to adjust.
Expand the row for that warehouse by clicking the ^ (caret) icon on the left.
In the expanded view, enter the new stock count in the Qty field.
Click the Update button to save your changes.
Important Notes on Inventory Logic
It is essential to understand how Acenda calculates the inventory sent to your marketplaces:
"Quantity" vs. "Allocated": The manual method described above only updates the "Quantity" value (your total physical stock). If you need to update the "Allocated" value (stock reserved for pending orders), you must use the Import/Export method. You cannot manually adjust "Allocated" stock via the user interface.
Calculating Available Stock: The "Available to Sell" quantity (On Hand) that is sent to a marketplace is calculated as:
Quantity - Allocated = Available to Sell
Inventory Floors: Please note that some channel integrations may have an "inventory floor" setting active. This feature creates a buffer that may constrain the "Available to Sell" quantity sent to that specific marketplace, regardless of your manual adjustments.
