What to Do If a Cardholder Asks to Add Promotional Points
While cardholders shouldn’t request manual promotional dollars, the decision to grant them rests with the merchant.
Typical Approach
If a merchant chooses to honor the request, simply add promotional funds—this functions the same as adding loyalty points.
How to Add Promotional Funds
In the Program Console, go to Cards.
Locate the customer’s card using the Search field.
Click Action → Fund Promotion.
Enter the promotional amount and any optional details (tag, description, expiration).
Click Activate Promotion to apply the funds.
