Before You Begin
Read all instructions to familiarize yourself with the process.
Verify your terminal is a Verifone VX520 with VX820 PPD; if unsure, contact Chase Paymentech at 1-800-265-5158.
Ensure terminal is connected to high-speed internet; if unsure, contact Chase Paymentech.
Locate the USB key from your Ackroo Welcome Kit; if missing, call Ackroo at 1-866-815-3428.
Complete manual settlement to close open batches (refer to your VX520/VX820 guide).
Installation & Initialization Steps
Attach USB key to the rear of the VX520 terminal.
Press [F2] + [F4] simultaneously.
Enter password 699273, then press [Enter/OK].
If invalid, try 167349 + [Enter/OK].
Press [2] for Download.
Enter Group ID: 10, then [Enter/OK].
Enter password 167349, then [Enter/OK].
Press [1] for Full Download.
If you see “***** WARNING ***** All Files Will Be Cleared From Group 10,” press [1] to cancel, then [3] to restart the terminal. Stop and contact Ackroo for instructions.
Press [Purple 1] to scroll down.
Press [2] for USB Flash Memory.
Press [1] for Yes.
Remove the USB key.
Press [Enter/OK].
Press the [F] key next to Ackroo on-screen to launch the app (scroll if needed).
Activate the terminal with a 6-digit PIN (see the Terminal Activation PIN guide).
Once complete, the terminal initializes and is ready for Ackroo Gift & Loyalty transactions.
