How-To: Installing and Initializing the Ackroo Gift & Loyalty POS Application on Verifone Vx680 Duet Terminals
1. Button Functions

2. Before You Begin
Complete all of the following prerequisites:
Read all instructions to familiarize yourself with the process.
Verify your terminal is a Verifone Vx680 Duet.
If unsure, contact First Data Help Desk: 1-888-236-1938.
Ensure the terminal has high-speed internet connectivity.
If unsure, contact First Data Help Desk.
Confirm your Ackroo Welcome Kit included a USB key.
If missing, call Ackroo Support: 1-855-880-5017.
Perform manual settlement to close any open batches (see your Vx680 Duet guide).
3. Installation & Initialization Steps
Attach the USB key to the multiport adapter, then plug into the terminal’s USB port.
Press [7] + [Enter/OK] simultaneously.
Enter Password: 166831, then press Enter/OK.
Press [3] for Download.
Enter Group ID: 10, then press Enter/OK.
Re-enter Password: 166831, then press Enter/OK.
Press [1] for Full Download.
Warning: If prompted “All Files Will Be Cleared From Group 10,” press [1] to cancel, then [3] to reboot. Stop and contact Ackroo Support for instructions.
Press [5] for USB Flash Memory.
Press [1] for Yes.
Remove the USB key, then press Enter/OK.
Press [1] for Restart.
The terminal reboots and automatically installs the application.
From the VMAC (main) menu, select ACKROO.
Use the F3 key to scroll if needed.
Activate the terminal with a 6-digit PIN (see “Terminal Activation PIN” guide):
Go to https://pin.ackroo.com, sign in, select Business, Location, Receipt, and Menu profiles, then click Continue.
Enter the generated PIN on the terminal to initialize the app.
Ready to process Ackroo Gift & Loyalty cards!
Note: To return to your original VMAC/Main Menu, press * and choose your payment application (debit/credit) or Ackroo accordingly.
4. Troubleshooting
