Ackroo with GLOBAL Ingenico (iWL or iCT) — Step-By-Step: Install, Fund & Redeem

Use the Ackroo Gift & Loyalty app on Global Payments Ingenico terminals (iCT220/250 or iWL220/250).

Learn How To:

  • Install & activate Ackroo

  • Locate the Ackroo app in the terminal menu

  • Fund Gift & Loyalty balances

  • Redeem Gift, Loyalty, or Promo funds

  • Run a Batch Close report (end of day)

Where to Find Ackroo in the Terminal

Main Menu Layout:

0- Sale 1- Return 2- Tab 3- Void 4- Reports ... 9–12 Third Party

Note:

  1. If Third Party is missing, contact Global Help Desk: 1-800-263-2970 to install the Ackroo app.

  2. On first launch, you’ll be prompted for a 6-digit activation PIN (generate via https://pin.ackroo.com).

Enable Partial Payment Mode (Recommended)

Allows entering the total bill amount when redeeming; the app auto-draws available funds and prints any outstanding balance.

  1. Go to Preferences → Advanced.

  2. Enter password 112233.

  3. Select Configuration → Partial Payment Mode → ON.

Fund a Gift Card

(Add gift funds onto a card)

  1. Complete the gift card sale in your POS/cash register (collect payment).

  2. Open Ackroo (Third Party → ACKROO):

    • Fund → Gift

    • Enter $ amount (01–10 cards) → Enter

    • Swipe card

    • Receipt prints (merchant + customer copies)

  3. Press Cancel to return to your payment app.

Redeem a Gift Card

(Spend gift/loyalty funds)

  1. Open Ackroo (Third Party → ACKROO):

    • Redeem → Gift & Loyalty

    • Enter $ amount → Enter

    • Swipe card

    • Receipt prints

    • If Partial Payment Mode is ON, enter total bill amount

  2. Collect any remaining balance via debit/credit/cash in your POS and complete the transaction.

  3. Press Cancel to return.

Fund Loyalty Rewards

(Add loyalty funds to a card)

  1. Ring up items in your POS; note the subtotal (pre-tax) for funding.

  2. Open Ackroo:

    • Fund → Loyalty

    • Enter subtotal amount → Enter

    • Swipe card

    • The configured % rate is applied automatically

    • Receipt prints

  3. Press Cancel to return.

Redeem Loyalty/Promo Rewards

(Spend loyalty or promo funds)

  1. Ring up items; if using a loyalty/promo card, start with it.

  2. Open Ackroo:

    • Redeem → Gift & Loyalty

    • Enter $ amount → Enter

    • Swipe card

    • Receipt prints

    • If Partial Payment Mode is ON, enter total bill amount

  3. Collect any outstanding balance via other tenders in your POS.

  4. Press Cancel to return.

Reports → Close Batch (End of Day)

  1. Open Ackroo: Reports → Close Batch

  2. Select Yes

  3. Receipt prints

  4. Press Cancel to return.
