How to Activate, Check a Balance, Fund & Redeem (with VIDEO)

Ackroo App vs Sale App

  • Ackroo app (standalone)

    • Check card balances + print receipt

    • Add/fund gift cards

  • Sale app (payment)

    • Redeem gift, loyalty, or promo as payment

    • Earn loyalty post-sale

Card numbers can be entered via swipe or manual key entry.


Activate the Ackroo App

  1. From Home (‘O’ button), open Ackroo.

  2. If missing, contact your payment provider’s Help Desk to install the app.

  3. Enter Email & Password (set up in the Program Console: https://manage.ackroo.com).

Note: If a password isn’t set, contact support@ackroo.com.


Check a Card Balance

  1. Open Ackroo from Home.

  2. Select Check Balance.

  3. Choose Swipe Card (or cancel).

  4. Tap Add to view $ balance.

  5. Tap Print for a paper copy.


Sell / Reload a Gift Card

  1. Open Ackroo (press silver button under screen).

  2. Select Fund Cards.

  3. Tap Amount field → key in value.

  4. Tap Ackroo Card Number field → swipe or enter manually.

  5. Tap Add (repeat to fund multiple cards).

  6. Tap Finish.

  7. Review receipt on-screen → Print Receipt (for merchant + customer).

Note: Actual payment is handled separately in the Sale app.


Completing the Purchase

  1. In Sale app, select Sale.

  2. Enter Total amount → OK.

  3. (Optional) Add a tip.

  4. Choose Ackroo tender.

  5. Select Gift or Loyalty balance.

  6. Swipe or manually enter card.

  7. Tap to confirm on-screen.

  8. Print Receipt or Cancel to return.

  9. If a remaining balance appears, select Charge (debit/credit) or Cash.


Enable Earning Loyalty Post-Sale

  1. Press grey button right of “3” to open apps → Ackroo APP.

  2. Tap Settings (gear).

  3. Select Advanced Options → enter manager password 147369.

  4. Tap Options → toggle Loyalty Prompt to ON.
