Registering Customers via the Virtual Terminal


1. Access the Virtual Terminal

  • Sign in with either:

    • Your Ackroo Administrator email & password, or

    • A 6-digit Access PIN (see Access VT App).

  • If Clerk Mode is enabled, you’ll be prompted for your Clerk ID.


2. Find the Card to Register

  1. From the Search Criteria page, identify the plastic card by:

    • Swiping it via a USB mag-stripe reader, or

    • Typing its full Card Number, Batch/Ackroo-ID, Name, or VIN.

  2. Click Search.


3. Register a New Cardholder

  1. In the left menu, click Register Card (only shown if the card is “not registered”).

  2. Fill in customer details:

    • Salutation, First/Last Name

    • Email & Phone

    • Date of Birth

    • Address, City, State/Province, Country, ZIP/Postal Code

    • Optional: Reference ID, VIN, Opt-in consent

  3. Click Register Card to save.


4. Edit an Existing Registration

  • From the menu, select Edit Registration to update any fields or add/remove Reference IDs.

  • Save changes to return to the main card menu.


5. After Registration

  • You can now search by Customer Name or any Reference ID on the Search Criteria page.

  • Note: VT registrations do not create a portal login—customers must sign up via the Cardholder Portal at https://my.ackroo.com if they wish to manage their account online.
