1. Install & Activate Ackroo
Find the App
From the terminal Main Menu: Options 9–12 → Third Party → ACKROO.
If “Third Party” isn’t listed, attach your Ackroo USB drive and reinstall the app per your model’s installation guide.
Activate
On first launch, enter the 6-digit PIN from https://pin.ackroo.com.
2. Enable Partial-Payment Mode (recommended)
Preferences → Advanced (password:
112233)Configuration → Partial Payment Mode → ON
Now, at redemption you can enter the full invoice total and let the terminal apply as much balance as available.
3. Fund a Gift Card
(Customer pays in your POS first)
Complete the gift-card sale in your POS (cash/credit/debit).
On the terminal: Third Party > ACKROO
FUND → GIFT
Enter $ amount → Enter
# of cards (01–10) → Enter
Swipe each card
Two receipts print (merchant + customer).
Press Cancel to return to your POS app.
4. Redeem a Gift Card
Ring the items in your POS. If a gift card is presented, tender it first.
On the terminal: Third Party > ACKROO
REDEEM → GIFT & LOYALTY
Enter $ amount (or full invoice if Partial Payment Mode ON) → Enter
Swipe card
Receipt prints. If balance remains, collect the remainder in POS (cash/credit/debit).
Cancel back to your POS app.
5. Fund Loyalty Rewards
Ring the sale in POS; note the pre-tax subtotal.
Terminal: Third Party > ACKROO
FUND → LOYALTY
Enter $ subtotal → Enter
Swipe card → terminal auto-calculates and loads % back.
Receipt prints; cancel back to POS.
6. Redeem Loyalty / Promo
Ring the sale in POS; tender this first if presented.
Terminal: Third Party > ACKROO
REDEEM → GIFT & LOYALTY
Enter $ amount (or full invoice if Partial Payment Mode ON) → Enter
Swipe card
Receipt prints; collect any remainder in POS and cancel back.
7. End-of-Day Batch Close
Terminal: REPORTS → CLOSE BATCH → YES → prints summary.
Cancel back to your POS app.
Tip: Always press the Red/Cancel key to return to your payment app when done.
