1. Install & Activate Ackroo
Launch Ackroo from the VMAC Home screen (press
*).If ACKROO isn’t listed, attach your Ackroo USB drive and run the installer for your model.
On first launch, enter the 6-digit PIN from https://pin.ackroo.com.
2. Enable Partial-Payment Mode (highly recommended)
Preferences → Advanced (password:
112233)Configuration → Partial Payment Mode → ON
At redemption you can now enter the full invoice total, and the terminal will apply up to the available balance.
3. Returning to Your POS App
Press the
*key at any time to return to your payment application (VMAC Home).
4. Fund a Gift Card
(Customer pays in your POS first)
Complete the gift-card sale in your POS (cash/credit/debit).
On the terminal:
*→ ACKROOFUND → GIFT
Enter $ amount → Enter
Select # of cards (01–10) → Enter
Swipe each card
Two receipts print (merchant + customer).
5. Redeem a Gift Card
Ring items in POS; if a gift card is presented, tender it first.
Terminal:
*→ ACKROOREDEEM → GIFT & LOYALTY
Enter $ amount (or full invoice if Partial-Payment ON) → Enter
Swipe card
Receipt prints. If balance remains, collect remainder in POS (cash/credit).
6. Fund Loyalty Rewards
Ring sale in POS; note pre-tax subtotal.
Terminal:
*→ ACKROOFUND → LOYALTY
Enter $ subtotal → Enter
Swipe card → terminal auto-calculates % back and loads it.
Receipt prints.
7. Redeem Loyalty / Promo
Ring sale in POS; tender loyalty/promo first if presented.
Terminal:
*→ ACKROOREDEEM → GIFT & LOYALTY
Enter $ amount (or full invoice if Partial-Payment ON) → Enter
Swipe card
Receipt prints; collect any remainder in POS.
8. End-of-Day Batch Close
Terminal: REPORTS → CLOSE BATCH → YES → prints summary.
Tip: Always press * to return to your payment app when finished.
