Custom Prompts

Custom prompts is a way to schedule prompts for your reports.

If you add a custom prompt, we will run it for you, and put the results in your presentation. You can copy the short code you can paste into your presentation by clicking the copy button.

Note: for now this is only available for Presentations, but it will be available for Slack/Whatsapp and Webhook integrations soon too.

How to add a Custom Prompt and Insert it to your presentation

Step 1 : Add the Custom Prompt

  1. Go to Reports → Custom Prompts.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Enter your prompt and click Add Prompt to save it.

Tip: Be specific about the format you want.
For example, you can ask for bullet points, short summaries, or full paragraphs—whatever best matches the slide you’re planning to use.

Step 2 : Copy the Custom Prompt Shortcode

After saving, click the Copy icon next to your prompt.
You’ll get a shortcode like: {{tara.prompt.999.a4f8ca95}}

This is what tells TARA where to place the generated content.

Step 3 : Add the Shortcode to the Presentation

Paste the shortcode into any Text Box on the slide where you want the answer to appear.

Important:
Make sure the text size, color, and style of the textbox are suitable for a longer AI-generated response.

That's It

Once your presentation is generated (based on the schedule you selected), TARA will automatically run your Custom Prompt and insert the output into the slide containing the shortcode.
