How Can I Become an Ambassador of an Active Chapter?

Looking to fill an open role? Here's how!

Updated over 3 months ago

We're thrilled to hear you are excited about joining your local chapter as an Ambassador.

First step is fully understanding the requirements of the program.

Why Become an ADPList City Ambassador?

  1. Make an Impact: As an Ambassador, you'll play a crucial role in spreading awareness about ADPList and mentorship. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth and success of our community.

  2. Networking Opportunities: Gain access to a diverse and global network of fellow City Ambassadors, mentors, and industry professionals. Build meaningful connections that can support your personal and professional growth.

  3. Exclusive Benefits and Recognition: Enjoy exclusive perks, including a seat on the future ADPList product advisory board, Ambassador-only events, special swag and recognition on our platform, social media, and more.

  4. Have fun: Seriously though. We have put fun at the front and center of this program. Think of the program like a virtual summer camp for professionals. But less cheesy, we promise. 😉

Understand the Requirements of Becoming a City Ambassador

For best chances of success, it is crucial you understand what the commitment is when joining an Ambassador team.

If you are accepted as an ADPList City Ambassador, you commit yourself to hosting 3 events (one per quarter) in your region, fulfilling the duties outlined in your role.

A local chapter is powered by a team of volunteer City Ambassadors, each with specific roles:

  • Host: ensures everything is running smoothly and on time

  • Speaker: secures speakers and / or panelists

  • Venue: secures a local venue sponsor

  • Nourishment: secures a local food sponsor

  • Creative and Marketing: secures photographer for the event and manages email and event communication via Luma

Expectations for ADPList City Chapter Events:

  • Each event is designed to be free and inclusive, featuring complimentary snacks and food.

  • These events also contain programming(**vs casual networking only). Attendees can look forward to engaging speakers, panels, or workshops, as well as dedicated time for networking.

  • Events are no less than three hours to allow for enough time for networking and programming

  • You will plan one event a quarter

  • All events will be sponsored by local food and beverage and venue sponsors from your local city, which you will solicit. ADPList HQ cannot always provide a budget for Ambassador events, which is why local sponsorship is paramount.

  • You are tasked with coordinating all event details collaboratively with your team

  • On the event day, punctuality is key. Arrive early for setup and stay afterward for cleanup

  • Additionally, all team members will be recognized as City Chapter Ambassadors, responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring smooth event operations.

  • ADPList HQ will help with creating the registration, distribution, and getting the word out about your event, as well as recognizing Ambassadors on our public channels and website. We will also help connect you with any sponsors we have in our network.

As you can see, it’s a significant commitment—but one that comes with plenty of fun and rewards! While you'll receive support from the ADPList HQ team, we’re really looking for individuals who are self-driven, enthusiastic, and fully dedicated. Your passion and initiative are key to making the program and your chapter thrive. Without that energy, it’s tough for the chapter to reach its full potential.
