Elevate user engagement and create immersive experiences with the Popup Module, a versatile tool designed to open layers filled with custom content at the click of an asset. Whether it's images, galleries, assets, or videos, the Popup Module empowers you to deliver dynamic content that captures attention and drives interaction. With customizable intro and outro animations, you can create seamless transitions that enhance the user experience and make your content pop.

Use cases

  • Make scenes more dynamic without the use of tons of assets

Example

This example shows how you can easily pimp your ad visually with a cool particle effect - In this case using a spritesheet to select random particles that move like snow.

As with all examples, you can request us to copy them over to your company so you can look at how they are built in detail.

Autoplay

You can toggle the automatic playback of the particle effects in the scene with this toggle. When autoplay is off, you can still toggle the playback with actions inside an interaction from another module.

Effect types

  • Rain = A basic rain effect that moves from top to bottom

  • Snow = A basic snow effect that moves from top to bottom

  • Confetti = A confetti type effect that explodes from the sides to the middle and has a slight 3d effect

  • Fireworks = A basic multi-color fireworks effect

  • Particle = A basic, highly adjustable effect that will display colored bubbles of different sizes

  • Generic = The most advanced effect, allowing you to upload spritesheets or graphics that will be used randomly and can be moved in different directions, speeds, rotations, etc.

Particle image

You can upload a custom particle image to the "Generic" effect type particles. This image can be a single one (Image count 1) or a spritesheet (in this case, adapt the image count to the number of sprites on the sheet).

Particle speed

You can set a range for particle speeds here. The particles that get spawned by the module will randomly select a value between the min and max value.

Amount of particles

You can set a range for the amount of particles spawned here.

Particle size

You can set a range for particle sizes here. The particles that get spawned by the module will randomly select a value between the min and max value.

Particle movement

The random movement option will randomize the direction that particles move in.

Activating this will cause the particle movements to be strictly straight in the direction given in the "Particle direction" dropdown. Otherwise, the movements will have a varying degree of randomness to them.

The particle direction setting changes the general direction particles move in. If straight movement is active, the direction will be strictly kept.

Particle rotation

These values give the min and max value for particle rotation from which a random value between the range will be chosen on particle spawn.

Particle opacity

With the slider you can adjust the particle opacity. The random particle opacity option will randomize this, but generally orient itself towards your given particle opacity value.

Properties & Clickout

As for the Background module, the Particle module allows you to change different properties like the opacity seperately in the "Properties" tab.

Also, you can set up a clickout link for the Particle module as usual.

Interactions

The Particle offers all standard triggers & actions that the Background module offers as well. The Particle module offers no further triggers.

Actions for other modules

The Particle module offers the following actions to be triggered by other modules:

  • Play particle effect = Starts playback of a Particle module's effect

  • Stop particle effect = Stops playback of a Particle module's effect
