Unleash a mesmerizing symphony of motion and interactivity with the Particle Wipe Module, a revolutionary tool designed to captivate and engage your audience in an immersive digital experience. With the Particle Wipe Module, you have the power to transform any area into a canvas of dynamic particles, crafted from a single image or randomly chosen sprites from a spritesheet. Delight your users as they interact with the touchscreen, sweeping away particles to reveal hidden content beneath.
Use cases
Present a visually impressive ad that is highly interactable
Hide interesting content to trigger curiosity in a user
Make your ad highly variable due to random particle placement and add a fun mechanic that is visually pleasing
Example
This particle wipe demo ad shows the use of the particle wipe module with a spritesheet that allows you to have different particles spawned by the module.
As with all examples, you can request us to copy them over to your company so you can look at how they are built in detail.
Particle asset
You can upload either a single particle image here, or a spritesheet that contains various sprites from which ones are picked and placed by the module in your resulting creative.
Sprite count & Particle density
The sprite count number says how many particle sprites are in the asset you uploaded. So if you just want a single type of particle, leave it at 1 - Otherwise, it should reflect the amount of different particles in your spritesheet.
A spritesheet looks like this:
With the particle density, you state how many particles will be spawned. Finding the right amount can be a bit of trial & error - Ideally, you want to keep the number low for performance reasons, but high enough to be visually pleasing.
Wipe timeout
You can set up the timeout duration here. After the timeout runs out, the "Wipe timeout" event from the module is triggered and can be used to change scenes among other things.
Brush
Here, you can upload an asset (either single image or spritesheet) that will show as a brush when the user is actively wiping. This graphic will be rotated in the direction the finger is being dragged.
Below is a sprite count setting with which you can set up the amount of sprites the same as for the particle asset. When the brush is being shown - it will automatically loop through the sprites if a spritesheet is used, so you can have an animated brush.
Required wipe
This lets you set up the percentage after which the particle wipe counts as finished and will trigger its' finished-event, which can be used to trigger other actions.
Properties & Clickout
As for the Background module, the Particle wipe module allows you to change different properties like the opacity seperately in the "Properties" tab.
Also, you can set up a clickout link for the Particle wipe module as usual.
Interactions
The Particle wipe offers all standard triggers & actions that the Background module offers as well. Furthermore, the Particle wipe module offers:
Triggers
Wipe start = Triggers when a user starts wiping on the module
Wipe finished = Triggers when a user reached the wipe percentage of the module
Wipe timeout = Triggers when the timeout duration has been reached
Actions for other modules
The particle wipe enables one other module (the Shake module) to trigger a different action through an interaction:
Wipe particle wipe = The particle wipe gets cleared as if it was timed out (All particles burst outward)
This can be used to create a shake-to-clear-screen type of ad.
