Follow these best practices to maximize energy capture, extend battery life, and maintain consistent environmental intelligence in all conditions.
Placement and Positioning
The Aethair PRO Solar Panel Accessory includes a 20W panel. When placed in direct sunlight, approximately four hours of exposure will enable the Aethair PRO to maintain 24/7 operation. It is important to place your solar panel in direct sunlight.

Place the panel in direct sunlight, not indirect or shaded areas.
Mount the panel securely to a stable pole or structure.
Position the panel toward the most direct sunlight.
Online tools can help you figure out the best direction based on your location.Angle the panel toward the sun by loosening the nuts that secure the crossbar, adjusting to the desired position, and then tightening the nuts again. For best results, match the panel’s tilt angle to your geographic latitude.
Example: 40° latitude = 40° panel angle.
To ensure optimal performance:
Select a location with at least four hours of unobstructed sunlight each day.
Avoid placement near trees, tall buildings, overhangs, awnings, partial covers, or structures that cast shadows.
Be sure the mounting structure is secure to support any loads caused by weather such as snow or strong winds.
Periodically monitor sunlight exposure and adjust placement if output decreases or you have issues maintaining constant power.
Powering On and Operation
The Solar Panel Accessory ships pre-connected to your Aethair PRO. Before mounting, confirm that both power connections are secure, one to the Aethair PRO back panel and one to the solar panel. It is recommended to power on both devices before final installation. Note: it is easier to turn on your Aethair PRO and Solar Panel before mounting them.
To begin operation:
Power on the Aethair PRO: Press and hold the power button on the back of the device until you hear a beep. A blue LED will illuminate on the front of your Aethair PRO, confirming that the device is powered on.
Power on the Solar Panel: Press the power button on the back of the solar panel. The battery indicator lights will illuminate, confirming the panel is powered on.
Mount the Aethair PRO: Install the Aethair PRO in the optimal location as described above.
The solar panel will begin operation immediately, and will begin supplying power to your Aethair PRO. If the Solar Panel doesn't turn on, it may need to be charged. Place the panel in direct sunlight for 1–2 hours to ensure the internal battery has enough power to activate.
Cleaning the Panel
Cleaning may occasionally be required in regions with snow, dust, or debris. Proceed carefully to avoid damaging components.

Inspect for damage or loose connections.

Recommended Cleaning Methods
Compressed Air: Use to remove light dust or dry debris.
Dry Cloth or Towel: Use to remove light dust or debris.
For snow, gently clear with a soft brush.
Wet Cloth: For heavier dirt or mud, use a damp cloth with water.
For greasy residue, apply a mild, environmentally safe cleaning agent.
Cleaning Best Practices
Use a soft cloth, sponge, or microfiber towel.
Avoid brushes, electric cleaning tools, or abrasives.
Never immerse the panel in water or cleaning solutions.
Do not use solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Cleaning the solar panel creates a risk of damaging components. In areas with inclement weather like snow or dust/sand, it may be necessary to clean the panel in order for the panel to continue operation.
