Create & Analyze Alerts with Noesis

Create and analyze alerts through Noesis AI conversations

Creating Alerts with Noesis

In Noesis, you can create alerts with a simple prompt.

Example Prompt: "Create an alert to detect smoke for our office devices."

Noesis interprets your instruction as a request to configure a new alert in your monitoring environment. It identifies the target devices, selects the relevant signal or classification model for smoke detection, applies default or learned thresholds, and drafts the alert configuration. The only remaining step is for you to set up email/SMS notifications.

In practice, the prompt removes manual setup. You describe the outcome you need, and Noesis builds an alert that fits directly into your workflows.

Noesis on the Alerts Page

Noesis is available on the Alerts page. Click the Noesis button, to the left of the Actions button in the top-right corner, to open the panel and ask questions about the alerts you have configured and how they have behaved. You can also ask about alerts from the main Noesis page.

Questions Noesis can answer about your alerts:

  • Which alerts triggered during a period, and how many times

  • How long an alert stayed Active before it Resolved

  • Patterns across repeated triggers, such as time of day, device, or site

  • A written summary of alert activity for a given period

Prompt: "Summarize alert activity for @office over the last 7 days."

Prompt: "Which alerts triggered most often last month, and how long did each stay active?"

Alert analysis draws on the Alert Events history for each alert, so an alert needs recorded events before Noesis has anything to report on. Note that editing an alert clears its event history and it is treated as newly created. See Creating & Monitoring Alerts for alert statuses and event history.

Alert analysis is returned in the Noesis chat. PDF export applies to device measurement data, so alert activity cannot currently be exported as a PDF. To capture alert events as a file, download the chart or table data from the Alert Monitoring page.
