Configuring Your Aethair IAQ

Change settings for your Aethair IAQ, including WiFi, data output, and LED lights

Access the Aethair IAQ Configuration Page [click to expand]

The Configuration page gives you full control over your Aethair IAQ. You can access the Configuration Page in two different ways:

  1. From the Devices List

    • Navigate to the Devices page, and find your Aethair PRO in the list.

    • Click the 3-dot menu on the right side of the device row.

    • Click the Edit button to configure your device.

  2. From the Device Monitoring Page

    • Click Edit in the top-left, above your device's name.

The Edit Page gives you full control over your Aethair IAQ device.

  • The left side of the page contains Device Configuration.

  • The right side contains Public Display Dashboard settings.

Note on shared devices: You cannot configure devices that are shared with you, regardless of your role. Configuration is only available for devices owned by your organization.

Device Configuration

1. Device Details

This section provides an overview of your device, including:

  • Online/Offline status

  • Model name and serial number

  • Battery/power source indicator

  • Owner organization

  • Network connectivity

  • Organizations the device is shared with

2. Device Settings

Here you can configure basic operational settings:

  • Device Name – Rename your device.

  • Device Description – Add a short description for identification.

  • Reporting Interval – Determines how often the device collects and reports data. Longer intervals reduce the amount of stored and transmitted data.

  • Aethair LED – The LED on your Aethair IAQ illuminates to indicate the device status and air quality alerts. Both of these can be toggled on/off here. See Device Status and Visual Alerts below for details.

  • Units – Choose the measurement unit for particle concentration: µg/m³, dL, CFT, or m³.

  • Connectivity (WiFi) – Configure WiFi network access:

    • Select your WiFi SSID from the dropdown list. If not visible, click the refresh button.

    • Enter your WiFi password and click Save to push credentials to the device.

    • Initial WiFi credentials must be delivered via cellular connection. After saving, wait a few minutes for the device to update and switch over.

    • If your device is deployed in an area without cellular coverage, you must preload WiFi credentials before deployment.

    • If no cellular network is available, click the ? icon to access Default WiFi settings and instructions for configuring a mobile hotspot or router.

  • Location – The device location is automatically configured via GPS and WiFi (Auto). If unavailable, switch to Manual mode to enter an address or coordinates.

3. Parameters

This section lists all parameters monitored by your Aethair IAQ.

You can also create Statistical Parameters:

  1. Click Create (or the + button in the Parameters List on the Device Monitor page).

  2. Set the following settings:

    • Function – Average, Difference, Maximum, or Minimum

    • Parameter – Choose which parameter to base it on

    • Period – Time period for calculation

    • Name – Name your statistical parameter

  3. Click Create in the bottom-right corner to save.

Your new statistical parameter will appear in the Parameters List and can be viewed in the Monitoring Page.

4. Calibrations

This section allows you to create custom calibrations, adjusting the final data output for your device based on your calibration needs.

Public Display Dashboard Settings

Public Display Dashboards provide a shareable live dashboard without requiring Environet access. Each dashboard is hosted at a unique public link that you can share with anyone.

  • Dashboard – Toggle ON to enable the dashboard.

  • Exposure Time – Visualize how long the device has reported Good, Moderate, and Poor air quality over the past 24 hours.

  • Data Aggregation – Choose update frequency: Live, 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 hr, or 2 hrs.

  • PM – Choose which PM size to display (PM1, PM2.5, PM10, or Auto).

  • Temperature – Select Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Auto (based on device/user settings).

  • VOC – Choose Auto (default), EtOH method, or Isobutylene method.

  • Open Dashboard – Opens the public dashboard in a new browser tab.

Device Status and Visual Alerts

Device Status Lights let you know if your Aethair IAQ is reporting and active.

  • Blinking Blue  = Connecting

  • Solid Blue = Connected

You can also configure LED behavior (for example, disabling lights for discreet operation).

Visual Alerts (Air Quality Score, AQ Score)
Your Aethair IAQ provides real-time air quality feedback using a 0-100 composite score based on all parameters, this is Aethair's proprietary Air Quality Score (AQ Score).

Color Indicators:

Blue: Good Air Quality (90 to 100)

Yellow: Moderate Air Quality (80 to 90)

Red: Poor Air Quality (below 80)
