Possible Solutions

Thank You Page Extensibility

If the you're a Shopify Plus merchant, it’s possible you may have upgraded to Shopify's Thank You Page extensibility and are attempting to use the Scripts version of the widgets.

Scripts widgets only function with the Legacy version of the Thank You Page, while the Extensions widgets only function when a store has upgraded to Thank You Page extensibility.

Check the Widget's Display Setting

Your Thank You Page widget's Display setting may be set to something that’s very restrictive.

For example, it may be set to “Once per Customer” and may be using the same customer profile for all of your test orders. Making it so the widget is only visible on your first test order, and none of the new ones.

Check Funnel Triggers

It's possible that the order you're placing isn't meeting the trigger requirements you've set up for the funnel.

We recommend double checking your triggers!

Check the Funnel Priority

It's possible you may have another funnel that's showing instead due to it having a higher priority than the funnel you're trying to test.

On the left side of the funnel table, you'll be able to see what priority your funnel is at.

On the top right of the funnel table, there'll be a button you can use to change the priority levels.

A funnel's priority level is used to determine which funnel's triggers should be checked first. The funnel at priority level 1 will be checked first, then the funnel at priority level 2, etc...

Re-Select the Upsell Products

Sometimes AfterSell will lose connection to a product if the product has changed too drastically in Shopify. For example, the product may have had its handle changed or some variants removed.

To re-establish this connection, simply reselect the product.

This will force AfterSell to look at the new product information instead, allowing it to display the product on your live store.

Product Availability

The product being upsold may not be available for purchase. There's a few things to check to verify this.

Check to see if the product is a part of the “Online Store” sales channel in Shopify.

Make sure the product is in Active status.

Make sure the product is not out of stock and has inventory available.
