How Virtual Try-On Works for Your Shoppers

Shoppers tap Try On on the product photo, open Size Chart next to Size, or Estimate my size with height and weight — independently.

Written by Ben Nyberg

Curious what your shoppers actually see? Here's the full experience, step by step — look on the photo, size on the product page, independently.

On the product page, before they open anything

Shoppers see three separate things:

  • Try On overlaid on the first product image (default bottom-centre). After a saved-photo render, that pill can read Show product so they can switch back to the original photo.

  • Size Chart next to the Size option — opens the chart with no photo.

  • Help us find your size above Add to cart (Starter and above, when a chart is assigned). Estimate my size asks for height and weight (age optional, no tape measure). Saving is optional: they can leave Save my size estimate unticked and still see a size for this visit. After that the card can read Your size: M on the picker. Edit measurements and Start over sit under the size badge.

Shopify product page with AI Frame Try On on the product photo. Size Chart sits next to Size; Estimate my size sits above Add to cart.

They tap Try On and upload a photo

The window opens with simple photo guidance: Full body, Good lighting, Just you, plus a tip to wear clothing with a similar sleeve length and fit. They tap Upload photo. A note they see here: the preview is AI-generated, with a link to privacy details.

They confirm and generate

After uploading, they preview their photo and tap Try On Now. For tops and bottoms they confirm which one it is. For everything else (shoes, glasses, jewellery, hats and other accessories), AI Frame recognises the product and starts generating. A realistic preview appears moments later. While they wait they can still use the Size Chart tab.

They see the result and the Size Chart

The result appears with "You look great! ✨" Next to their image, your Size Chart for that product is shown. From here they can Add to cart, Save, Share, Favorite, or Continue Shopping.

They can share their look

If they tap Share, they can post to WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, or Email.

They can save favorites

Tapping Favorite saves the look to a Favorites panel, where they can tap Shop now when they're ready.

They can save their photo for next time

Shoppers can choose to save their photo for faster try-ons. On the next visit they tap the same Try On pill — no re-upload. Saving is always their choice, and they can delete the photo at any time under My Fit.

They can build a whole outfit

On Growth and Advanced, shoppers with a saved photo can combine items into one look. After trying on a top, they tap Add to outfit and add bottoms, shoes or accessories.

Why this matters for your store

Every step turns uncertainty into confidence: shoppers see the item on themselves, check their size without entering try-on, share it, and buy. Try it at virtual-try-on-size-chart.com.
