How to Switch Between cm and Inches in Your Size Chart

Set your size chart up in centimetres, inches, or both - whatever suits your shoppers.

You're in full control of the units on your size charts and, if you want, your shoppers can be too. Select a unit on your chart and AI Frame shows shoppers a cm/inches switch on your storefront, calculating the other unit automatically. Prefer to show exactly what you typed? Simply leave the unit unselected. Here's how it works.

Two ways to handle units

  • Select a unit (cm or in): shoppers see a cm/inches toggle on the size chart in your storefront. You fill in only one unit - the one you selected - and AI Frame automatically calculates and displays the other. No conversion tables, no double work.

  • Select nothing: the chart shows exactly what you filled in, as you filled it in - no toggle, no conversions. Handy for charts where automatic conversion doesn't make sense, like letter sizes or one-size items.

How to enable the shopper toggle

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → AI Frame – Virtual Try-On, then click Size Chart and open your chart from the Existing size charts list.

  2. Scroll to Additional info and find Unit.

  3. Select cm or in - whichever matches the measurements you're entering in the table.

  4. Fill in your values in that unit and save.

💡 A little tip: select the unit you actually measure in and enter those exact numbers - that keeps your chart precise, and the calculated conversions stay accurate too.

What shoppers see

With a unit selected, the size chart on your storefront shows a cm / inches switch above the table. Every shopper reads sizes in the unit they think in - European shoppers in centimetres, US shoppers in inches - from one chart, with no extra work from you.
