How to Translate the Try-On Widget

Customise widget wording in 25 languages on Translations (Growth and Advanced). The Try On pill label is a separate setting.

Selling to shoppers in more than one language? You can customise the wording the try-on widget shows them — buttons, labels and messages — per language, so the experience feels native everywhere you sell.

Where to find it

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → AI Frame – Virtual Try-On, then click Translations in the app's left menu.

How it works

  1. In the Languages list, select the language you want to edit.

  2. On the right, you'll see the widget's text fields for that language — for example Try On Now, Upload photo, Cancel, Back, Size Chart tab labels, and result messages.

  3. Type your preferred wording in any field. Leave a field empty to use the default.

  4. Save, and the widget shows your wording to shoppers browsing in that language.

The Try On pill label on the product image is a separate setting (one label for everyone) under Virtual Try-On → Try-on pill on product image. Size Chart next to the Size option and Estimate my size on the product page follow the shopper's storefront language from the widget translations and defaults.

💡 A little tip: you don't have to translate everything — the defaults are already localised. Use this page for the words that carry your brand's voice.

Which languages are covered?

The widget ships with 25 languages, listed in the Languages column: English, Arabic, Bengali, Danish, German, Greek, Spanish, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified) and Chinese (Traditional). Select any of them to customise its wording.

Plan note: Translations are available on Growth and Advanced.
