Selling by post is available for customers who cannot visit a showroom.

Before you send anything

  • Confirm that your items are suitable bullion (bars/coins, not jewellery).

  • Complete online ID verification if you haven’t done so already.

  • Prepare your bank account details for payment.

Parcel limits

  • Please limit each parcel to a maximum bullion value of $25,000.

For larger amounts, you can send multiple parcels or discuss alternatives with us.

Packing your bullion

Follow these guidelines (summarised from our detailed instructions):

  • Pack bullion in a small padded bag, tightly secured so it doesn’t move or rattle.

  • Include:

    • Your full name

    • Email address and phone number

    • Bank account details (name, BSB, account number, bank)

  • Place this into a second padded bag so the parcel is as silent and discreet as possible.

  • Do not write anything on the outside that reveals the contents.

Posting the parcel

  1. Go to an Australia Post outlet.

  2. Buy an Express Post satchel and Signature on Delivery sticker suitable for the weight.

  3. Address it to:

    • Ainslie Bullion
      Level 6, 12 Creek Street
      Brisbane QLD 4000

    or

    • Ainslie Bullion
      Level 14, 357 Collins Street
      Melbourne VIC 3000

      (if sending from Victoria).

  4. At the counter, do not describe the contents as bullion or valuables.

  5. Keep:

    • the stamped receipt, and

    • the tracking number.

We recommend taking a clear photo of the addressed parcel (receiver side) and keeping it until your parcel is confirmed received.

Insurance

  • We covers insurance for incoming parcels.

  • You do not need to purchase additional insurance at the post office.

For general delivery insurance conditions, also see: How is my order insured during delivery?

When is your price locked?

  • Your buyback price is locked when the bullion arrives at our office and is received into our custody, not when you lodge the parcel.

  • After arrival, we test and authenticate your items before confirming the final amount.
