- Don’t get caught up with PR for the sake of PR 
- There are risks involved with talking about your product when it is not yet fully realized 
- Touting future capabilities that don’t exist yet can danger credibility in marketplace, with investors, press, etc. 
- Don’t tip off competitors with your ideas 
- Wait until you are happy with your product and ready to talk to journalists, investors, and ready to raise money
