Wondering if anyone have any tips on hiring or know where to source enterprise sales reps? I’ve been going through LinkedIn, but curious if there’s anywhere else we can find a pool of AE candidates?

Depending on your company, train them. Why train them? They cost less, they don’t need as high commissions, most sales reps only come with a handful of leads anyway, they will know your product better, and you won’t have to search for a unicorn that you might never find.

We’ve hired 5 different enterprise sales reps over last 3 years, all were top-notch, highly recommended from peers. Revenue generated from sales reps = $250K. Revenue generated from people we trained = Over $4M

Also, depending on your stage, you might have a better ROI investing in a SDR (Sales Development Rep). As in, someone to generate you really hot leads and then turn them over to you. SDR’s in SF are fairly cheap and can get huge results. Ours generated 30 very qualified leads per week, more than we could possibly handle.

Basically it’s really hard to find good Enterprise sales reps on a startup budget
